To Illinois

In case you haven't heard, we are moving (back) to Illinois this weekend. We'll be making our new home in Champaign-Urbana (probably best known for this). Caleb will work full-time with the education program at Cunningham Children's Home as a teacher's assistant. However, our main purpose for relocating is to join the core team of Redeemer Church (website coming soon), a new church in Champaign-Urbana. We'll miss our Louisville friends, church, and SBTS like crazy. But we're so excited for the opportunity to learn about starting a new church and we can't wait to see how God will bless Redeemer.

We look forward to keeping you all posted on our new ministry in Illinois.

First Happy Meal

Nella recently received a card in the mail from her Grandpa & Nana Sipe. They sent her some McDonald's money, so we decided to take her for a happy meal. She enjoyed the chicken McNuggets but really loved the apples & caramel dip. Of course the toy was the highlight of her day!

Pregnancy Update - 30 weeks

3D images of Silas @ 30 weeks.

I had an ultrasound earlier this week to check up on Silas' growth and the doctors were pleased with his progress. Everything checked out in the normal range and we are very thankful for the good report. The next step will be some fetal non-stress tests, just as another precaution. I've been feeling mostly good minus some usual 3rd trimester aches, pains, and fatigue. With about 9 weeks to go, I have a growing list of things I'd like to get finished before baby 2 arrives. I just hope I have the energy to check things off that list!

July 4th, 2009

We celebrated our great nation's independence at my Grandma Sipe's house at the Lake of Egypt in Marion, IL. Even though it stormed and rained (poured!) most of the day, everyone had a great time swimming, canoeing, grilling, eating, fireworking, and visiting with family. Good All-American fun!

Nella & Marley waiting for the rain to stop. It finally did . . . at 6:00 pm!

All-American Cutie

Helping herself to some lemonade.

Swimming in the rain.

The way a cheeseburger should be, with a gigantic slice of homegrown tomato thicker than the burger itself!

The works!

Waiting for the fireworks to start.

Literally blowing through hundreds of $$ in an hour. But oh, what fun!

'Ooooh, aaaahhhh'
Nella loved the fireworks!

Oh, and Nella got to play with her favorite car at Nana & Grandpa's house.

Playin' At The Park

We went to Waterfront Park with some friends this morning.
Here are a few photos:
Nella was just fascinated with baby Talmage. It could have been because he's so adorable, or it could have been his pacifier.

Playing on the weird pyramid thing.

Playing with Julianne.

LOVES the slide!
